Over the years since its foundation, more than 165 thousand specialists for aviation and rocket-space science and industry have graduated from the walls of MAI, to which one can add 60 thousand graduates of MATI, which was joined in 2015.

Separately, it should be noted that MAI is the leader among civilian universities in terms of the number of graduates who became cosmonauts and test pilots.

So, among the graduates of MAI there are 23 cosmonauts who have worked in space for a total of more than 15 years. 14 of them made 65 exits in open space... Many graduate cosmonauts still work in the cosmonaut corps.

MAI constantly monitors the career achievements of its graduates, including 29 cEOs, 9 general designers, 38 chief designers, 4 directors, 97 other senior managers of specialized enterprises.

Today, university graduates make up the backbone of the enterprises of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, the State Corporation Roscosmos, the State Corporation Rostec, JSC UAC, JSC Tactical Missile Weapons Corporation, JSC Concern East Kazakhstan region Almaz-Antey.

Most of the samples of modern (in service and (or) in service) aviation and rocket and space technology were created under the guidance and with the direct participation of MAI graduates. As Academician of the RAS E.A. Fedosov, “there is no need to say in the creation of which aircraft and missiles, launched during the life of the MAI, its graduates took a certain part - in all”.

The Moscow Aviation Institute is rightfully considered one of the best technical universities in the country and the entire post-Soviet space. This confirms how rich story educational institution and the number of famous successful graduates, as well as their high places in the ratings. It is extremely difficult to enter here on the budget, because it is necessary to pass the SEE for 185 points and higher, the competition for budget places is very high, and their number decreases every year. Therefore, many students choose a paid form of study.
