An integral part of the work of any educational institution is the GPD. What it is? The abbreviation GPA stands for This is a real “lifesaver” for parents who work throughout the day and cannot devote time to their child. After lessons, together with the teacher, the children will not only be able to complete the task, but also have fun with their peers.

Tasks of the after-school group

The comprehensive development of the personality of each child is the main task of the GPD. means that children who stay at school after school are not just “killing time” while waiting for their parents. A program for teaching new subjects is being developed for students, and students can attend interesting clubs. For students aged 6-7 years, a daytime nap can be organized. After all, a tired child loses interest in learning.

Teachers who have been working with the GPD for several years note that the children’s attention and memory increase, they become more diligent in basic classes. This is due to the proper organization of children’s time. In a home environment, on the contrary, schoolchildren feel more relaxed; there is no discipline inherent in an educational institution.

GPD - help for children who are lagging behind

Not all students develop in the same way. One child only needs to read the material once to begin to understand it well, while another will have to explain the topic several more times. GPA planning necessarily includes working with children who are lagging behind. While other schoolchildren are busy drawing or sculpting, for example, the teacher can work with the child individually.

Other tasks of the GPA include:

  • formation of useful habits in a child (putting things in the closet, tidying up school items after training);
  • instilling personal hygiene skills;
  • strengthening physical health Guys;
  • developing interest in learning;
  • development of communicative relationships between children in a specific team.

Schoolchildren who attend the GPA are more socially adapted. They find it easily mutual language with new guys, they know how to behave in this or that unforeseen situation.

Forms of extracurricular work with children

There are several options for working with students after the main lessons. Important has self-training in GPA. What it is? This organizational form activities of students who stay for an extended day in an educational institution, which includes completing homework under the guidance of a teacher. During training, young schoolchildren develop skills independent work, they learn to complete a task efficiently the first time.

Club hour is another form of spending time in an extended day group. The GPA teacher plans the lesson in advance. This could be a drawing, modeling or music lesson. Children often visit museums and go on excursions. Parents may also be involved.

Benefits of attending after-school groups

In the extended day group, children of primary school age remain under supervision and at the same time develop comprehensively. This is a huge advantage, especially for busy parents. Working programm The GPA is developed taking into account age characteristics Guys. In just a few hours spent in an educational institution, schoolchildren manage to complete homework, communicate with peers, learn new interesting information from the teacher, relax physically.

The GPA plan includes not only educational aspects. Schoolchildren also receive quality education (on a preferential basis or at the expense of their parents). At home, mothers and fathers cannot always keep track of what the child is doing and what he eats after school.

Parents always want their child to not only be well versed in school curriculum, but also went in for sports, took part in concerts and other extracurricular activities. If a student attends a GPA class, he can choose what to do additionally. The educational institution may offer sports sections and clubs visual arts, singing, dancing, etc.

Regime moments

Children who attend an extended day group must get used to a certain regime. The skills developed in schools will continue into the future. Therefore, the mode is another advantage of the GPA. What it is? What does the term “mode” mean? This means that the children have lunch, sleep (if we are talking about schoolchildren 6-7 years old), study lessons, and attend clubs at the same time.

The regime for all extended day groups is approximately the same. Immediately after school ends, the children who stay for after-school hours have lunch, then get ready for a walk in the fresh air and go outside. Self-study follows. The children do their homework, and some students receive individual tutoring from teachers. Upon completion, leisure activities follow (sports sections, clubs, excursions).

Safety requirements

Safety when working with children is paramount. A GPA teacher who has passed medical checkup. Occupational safety training is also required. These conditions must also be observed by kitchen workers, teaching assistants, and club leaders.

Students must be supervised at all times. Lessons for the GPD can be conducted in a specially designated room. It is unacceptable for children to come to class on their own. Junior schoolchildren must move from one classroom to another accompanied by a teacher. If a child attends a club, the leader must escort him to the office where classes will be held.

During self-training, children should also be under the supervision of a teacher. If the teacher needs to leave the office, he looks after the students. The position of the children at their desks must be monitored in order to avoid the development of scoliosis, myopia and other pathologies.

Thematic planning of the GPA

The teacher should develop a clear plan for conducting classes at the beginning of the school year. All training program can be divided into thematic periods (by month). The lesson plan for an extended day group may be as follows:

  1. "Hello school." In September, all classes are dedicated to the first days of training. At clubs and extracurricular activities, the guys discuss how the summer went. Educators are interested in what interesting things schoolchildren would like to learn in the new school year.
  2. "Gold autumn". In October, extended-day groups begin preparing for the autumn ball. The children make crafts from dry leaves and learn autumn-themed songs during music lessons.
  3. "New knowledge". In November, visits to museums and factories may be planned. Excursions arouse interest among schoolchildren and stimulate interest in learning.
  4. "Soon New Year" In December, preparations for the New Year celebration begin. All lessons for the GPD are developed taking into account the upcoming holiday. The children learn poems, songs, and prepare New Year's decorations.
  5. "Zimushka-Winter". A winter walk should definitely be planned in January. The guys observe the changes in nature during the cold season. Schoolchildren will also enjoy the ski trip.
  6. "Farewell to Winter" In February, during music classes, children learn songs dedicated to Maslenitsa, and during drawing classes they create themed cards.
  7. "Mother's Day" In March all extracurricular activities aimed at organizing the upcoming International Women's Day.
  8. "Spring-Red". In April, the GPA teacher and the children visit Botanical Garden or steam Students study plants that wake up in the spring. Thematic crafts are created during the classes.
  9. "Summer is coming soon". May is the end of the school year. Schoolchildren take stock and make plans for the upcoming holidays. The children spend most of their extracurricular time outdoors.

The presented planning is approximate. Every teacher can develop own program taking into account the needs of a particular school community.

Who can attend the GPA?

All students have the right to stay for an extended day after regular school hours. junior classes. But parents must first write a corresponding application. Usually the procedure is carried out at the beginning of the school year. There is no charge for a child’s stay in an extended day group. This is provided for by the Law “On Education of the Russian Federation”. The only thing parents will have to pay for is food.

Summarize

Extended day groups are a unique opportunity for parents to properly organize the day junior schoolchildren in conditions of permanent employment. Under the supervision of qualified teachers, children fully develop, delve into general education subjects, attend interesting excursions and communicate with peers.

If there is such an opportunity, you should not refuse to allow your child to attend the GPD. The independence skills developed at the initial stage of learning will help organize the day of an adult student in the future.
