Learning by playing

Krylov's fables

Preliminary Note

The lesson is designed for reading lessons in 3rd grade after studying the works of I.A. Krylov as a generalization or for a literature lesson in the 5th grade to update knowledge about the fables of I.A. Krylova.

The lesson is conducted in the form of a game “Tic Tac Toe.” It is necessary to select a group of students from the class for judging. (To test their knowledge, you can give them some tasks to solve at home on the eve of the game or invite them to participate in compiling tasks or a quiz on Krylov’s fables). The rest of the class is divided into two teams: the Tic Tac Toe team.

A field is drawn on the board where X or O will be placed, depending on the team’s victory. The class must complete all nine tasks. The winner will be the team with more symbols on the field.

The lesson is accompanied by a presentation that reflects each of the tasks. Moreover, the choice of the playing field can be arbitrary thanks to the hyperlink system.

3) develop group collaboration skills

Equipment: multimedia projector, screen, computer, handouts

During the classes:

Hello guys. In several lessons, we got acquainted with the work of the great Russian fabulist Ivan Andreevich Krylov. We learned what a fable is and, after reading several fables, got acquainted with their heroes. We learned something from them. What fables can you name?

Nikolai Vasilyevich Gogol called the fables of I.A. Krylov “the book of wisdom of the people themselves.” Why do you think?

Let's see how well you know Krylov's fables. Today awaits you intellectual game"Tic Tac Toe". You all know how to play it. Each team will take turns making a move until all the fields are open. Each field is a task based on Krylov's fables. The team with the most symbols (they mean victory in each competition) will win.

I think a lot depends on how attentive you were in class and how carefully you did your homework. It also depends on how closely you work as a team. Good luck! We start our game. Make the first move!

Competition tasks for cells:

No matter how useful a thing is, without knowing its price,

The ignoramus is always telling his own story about her;

And if the ignoramus knows better,

Then he also drives her.

4. When there is no agreement among comrades,

Things won't go well for them,

And nothing will come out of it, only torment.

Remember what this part of the fable is called? What is her role in each work? Can you think of a situation in which one of these statements could be used? (optionally)

Where you just have to guess
Just get down to business.

I didn’t have time to look back,
How winter rolls into your eyes.
“Oh, you glutton! Ah, the villain!” -
Here Vaska is reproached by the Cook
“Don’t leave me, dear godfather!
Let me gather my strength,
And only until spring days
Feed and warm!”
“Eh, eh! - Moska answers her, -
This is what gives me spirit,
